Nissan has launched a brand new interactive website called, Planet Zero. The website, which features small flash games, aids in Nissan’s promotion of the LEAF vehicle and a greener way of living.
“The Planet Zero proposes a zero-emission society and mobility. It advocates it while educating people on Nissan Leaf technology and environmental benefits. Of course this initiative is in line with our marketing and brand strategy,” a Nissan spokesperson told Campaign Asia.
The game currently has 4 levels – Hop Step Learn, Get Windy, Give Me Sunshine, Say Hello – and will have 6 more levels added on at a later date. The graphics for the game are decent, but the environmental tidbits you receive after each level completion make up for it.
One huge downfall of Planet Zero is there’s no instructions or tutorial to follow. You pick a number on the rotating earth; that particular game begins and you’re left clicking your mouse to see where the little ‘plug guy’ will lead you. Each 3D game is rather easy, but there are parts that tend to drag on longer than necessary.
Overall, the concept is great because it brings more attention to green living and the Nissan LEAF. But Planet Zero isn’t a website to spend hours upon hours perusing through.
This campaign also incorporates a ‘Flip book studio,’ which encourages users to create their own flip-book animations.
Planet Zero was developed by Enjin, Roxik and Dwarf.
