New LEAFs for Police

"The Scottish Police Services Authority will be charging two new vehicles.
The SPSA has purchased two Nissan LEAF all-electric cars to add to its existing fleet from Loanhead-based Alex F Noble Nissan, the sole agent in Scotland for the car.
SPSA fleet manager Billy Andrew said: “As an organisation, we are fully committed to reducing our impact on the environment and we have been looking at how we can incorporate more sustainable processes into the way we deliver our services to Scottish policing. So, with assistance from Transport Scotland, we have purchased two LEAF low carbon vehicles from Alex F Noble Nissan.
“We know the cost of conventional fuel is going to keep increasing, so it made sense for us to purchase these cars. It will not only save SPSA money, but also supports the ambitious plans set out by the Scottish Government to become carbon neutral by 2050.”
One of the LEAFS will be based at the Lothian and Borders Police headquarters in Edinburgh, and the other at SPSA’s Glasgow base at Elphinstone House.
David Noble of Alex F Noble Nissan said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have provided the two LEAFS, and pleased to know the cars are rapidly changing previously-held user perceptions of electric vehicles.”
