Renault Fluence Z.E. is No More
"Globes is reporting that production of the Renault Fluence Z.E. has been halted and that Renault shut down the Fluence Z.E.’s production line in Turkey.

Citing foreign media sources, Globes says:
“Production of the replaceable battery version was halted following the collapse of Better Place in May 2013, but Renault continued production and sales in Europe of the rechargeable battery version. However, the carmaker has decided to halt all production of the Fluence ZE, due to meager sales.”
We first reported on the Fluence Z.E.’s meager sales months ago and suggested at the time that we believed the vehicle was set to exit production.
As Globes reports:
“Israel’s Renault importer Carasso Motors Ltd. says that Renault will continue supporting Fluence ZE cars already sold in Israel.”
Globes added this statement that honestly made us chuckle:
“Industry experts believe, however, that the car will become a collectors’ item within a few years, because of the limited number of cars produced.”
Of note, the Samsung SM3 (a re-badged Fluence Z.E.) is still being produced, but it’s sold only in South Korea."
